Tigh-a-Chnuic has been recently refurbished to offer cosy and comfortable four-star accommodation and is set amid spectacular scenery with the stunning backdrop of the Five Sisters of Kintail. The cottage is an ideal base for walking, climbing, cycling, pony trekking and photography. Golfers are also catered for at nearby Kyle and Lochcarron.
The cottage is detached and lies in its own lawned garden. It is decorated and furnished to provide a high standard of accommodation.
On the ground floor there is a comfortable sitting room, a separate dining room and a new modern fully-fitted kitchen.
A quaint narrow staircase with under-stairs utility cupboard leads up to two double bedrooms and a spacious bathroom which has a separate step-in shower.
One bedroom has a lovely double wrought iron and brass bed, a cupboard with hanging space and pine furniture. The other bedroom has full-size twin pine beds and also pine furniture.
The cottage sleeps up to four people comfortably and is centrally heated by Total Control heating. The sitting room has additional heating via an attractive fuel-effect fire for those colder nights.
From the cottage a hundred-yard stroll will bring you to the shores of Loch Duich where you can fish and may be lucky enough to spot seals and porpoises. Buzzards and deer are often seen on the hills and during the winter months herds of deer and wild goats graze on the lower slopes.
